Abstract: Review question/objective: The objective of this review is to compare the effectiveness of three fixation methods for acute injuries of the ankle syndesmosis - metal screw fixation, bioabsorbable screw fixation and suture button fixation.The reviewers seek to critically evaluate the available evidence to provide an evidence-based appraisal of the comparative safety and efficacy of the treatment strategies.
