Abstract: Most immunohistochemical techniques are relatively reproducible, although it is possible that a variety of technical factors, including fixation, processing, and decalcification, can influence the staining outcomes in certain tissues. This technical report describes simple modifications that were made to a routine in-house diagnostic immunohistochemical method in an effort to minimize the loss of histologic sections from slides while staining for PGP 9.5 in ovine intervertebral disc.
