Abstract: Sequential treatment of Ru3(μ-H){μ3-C2CPh2(OH)}(CO)9 with K[BHBus3] and AuCl(PPh3) afforded Au3Ru3{μ3-η1:η1:η1,η2-CCHCPh2OC(O)}(CO)8(PPh3)3, formed by intramolecular attack of alkoxide on an adjacent CO ligand, and characterised by a single-crystal X-ray study.
