Abstract: Romnalda ophiopogonoides Conran, P.I.Forst. et Donnon sp. nov. from the Cape Tribulation-Daintree area in the Wet Tropics bioregion of north-east Queensland is described, illustrated and compared with related species. A conservation status of Endangered is proposed. Notes on habitat, distribution and cytology and a key to the species of Romnalda are provided.
