Abstract: The article presents an overview of a research that investigated factors that influence consumer choice for the wine supply chain in Australia funded by the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corp. The research initially involved interviews and online discussions with businesses, national retailers and distributors linked to or owned by large wine companies. Among the factors cited that influence decisions to keep wines on and take wines off are sales, gross profit percentage, margin and quality.
