Abstract: | Recent observations have led to the modern view that neutrophils are active cellular components of the immune system. Work in the last decade has shown that cytokines are instrumental in neutrophil physiologic functions. Of the cytokines that have been discovered, tumour necrosis factors (TNFs) can justifiably be highlighted. But with claims that they can cause pathology, is there a promising future for TNFs? |
