Abstract: This brief is concerned with the networked predictive control and stability analysis for networked control systems(NCSs) with time-varying network communication delay. By taking the full advantage of the packet-based transmission in NCSs, a state-based networked predictive control approach is proposed to actively compensate the network communication delay. Based on switched system approach, stability analysis result is also established via the average dwell time technique. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a practical experiment.
